PUCV Cambridge English Centre CL304 Shares Its Experience in Accessible Assessment at National Team Leaders Meeting
On 17 October 2026, Cambridge English Team Leaders from authorised examination centres across Chile gathered at the Annual Team Leaders Meeting (ATLM 2026), held at Hotel Kennedy in Santiago. This year’s meeting was hosted by Books & Bits Educational Centre, as part of the annual tradition of rotating host centres. The event brought together 18 professionals involved in Cambridge English examinations to exchange experiences, review assessment procedures and share best practices in examination administration.
Representing the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV), Daniella Guerra Galleguillos, Team Leader of Cambridge English Centre CL304 and Academic Coordinator of the English Language Programme (PILE), led a session entitled “Beyond What We See: Making Cambridge C1 Advanced Speaking Tests Accessible”. Her presentation focused on the centre’s experience of implementing Special Arrangements for a candidate with total visual impairment, highlighting the planning, coordination and practical considerations involved in administering an accessible C1 Advanced Speaking test while maintaining Cambridge English assessment standards.
The session encouraged discussion and the exchange of experiences among Team Leaders, emphasising that accessibility is not about changing assessment standards, but about ensuring that every candidate has a fair opportunity to demonstrate their language abilities. The participation of Centre CL304 reflects PUCV’s ongoing commitment to inclusive assessment, professional collaboration and excellence in international English language certification.
